Venice Carnival

This February we celebrated my friend Cecilia’s birthday at the Venice carnival. If you’ve never been, I would add this to your bucket list. A perfect excuse for people watching, taking photos of strangers in costumes (who will even pose for you and not tell you to get lost), being in strangers photos and drinking aperol spritz! This was not a sightseeing holiday, unless you count our mission to get as many photos of people in costumes as possible. If you decide to go, you will enjoy the experience far more if you make the effort to dress up. Apparently it’s cheaper to hire outfits outside of Venice, where they rack up the prices for carnival. But don’t worry, cheap masks are a plenty here!
